Re: Skype Can Finally Record Your Calls
No problem. I'm just so used to using that app, that's all I know. I will have to try this out when my computer gets back from being repaired at some point. LOL.

No, it is not. This is why we use audio hijack in order to do what we need to do.

Well, apart from the native Skype functionality, I have a program called MP3 Skype recorder which is supposed to work with Skype 8 electron. Only thing is, I don't know if this program is available on Mac, I installed it on my Windows desktop.

No idea, but this sounds like a good idea. Seems a lot of places stil use Skype and not zoom.

I wonder if we can actually export those into listenable format celceta Skype, that is MP3, wave, Etc. I wonder if we could also record separate channels. I'm too used to using zoom. LOL. On September 4, 2018 10:28:51 "John Holcomb II" <jhii926@...> wrote:

Re: Question about adding callers to a conference
actually, I can right click on a contact on the Mac. So can you right click on the contact while in a call and then add them that way? Or is it still not going anywhere. If it cannot then there probably is no way to do this without starting a new group and then maybe adding members to set group during the call. Good luck.

Workaround: reject the incoming call, send a chat to the person saying you’ll ilvite him or her, and try adding to the group.

I almost think that somewhere is a mistake. Some of
the callers might be put on hold for more times for each new caller that wants
to join the conversation, which is strange.
MS probably have a reason to do this, for example
for avoiding the possibility of calling somebody and then discovering too late
that the person that answers is engaged in a conference, or other similar
privacy things, but using this strange way is not a good solution.

Thanks very much for this. It's reverse from version 7, where
the second caller is added when the call is answered.

And if a third person calls and we want to add it
to the conversation?
We will answer and put on hold the first 2 callers,
then we go to the list of contacts and add them again one by one to the
conversation?
The procedure looks complicated. Or maybe it is not
possible to have a conversation among 4 people?

Re: Question about adding callers to a conference

Here is what Skype support said: Skype Support, When you're on call, and someone tried to call you, click the Answer button. The current call will be put on hold. On the new call, to add the previous person that you're talking to (that was on hold), click the + button, then you will see your Contacts. Choose his/her name, then click Add. The previous person that you're talking to should accept your invitation for a conference call. In order to learn it we’ll have to play with it! I will have a play with it and I will give you the lowdown on how to go about this. I am certain it is not only doable, but easily so.

Thanks for that information. If this capability has been removed, that's a big step backward. What good is a conferencing platform if incoming callers can't be added to an ongoing call? I presume creating a group conversation requires one person to call everyone else? That's not how it used to be. One more way Skype's starting to slide down that slippery slope into the category of unwantedness.
