Other thing is, after posting the release message, I found out that some users on some Italian lists are reporting issues in configuring the audio/microphone settings; did some of you already upgrade, and if so can you confirm? Ok I tested on my USB headset which I think I never plugged on my Mac,
and was able to make them work. At first I have to say that my Skype is configured to use the system settings for microphone and speakers. As soon as I plugged my headset, I could hear even VoiceOver from the pc speakers. So I went to the system preferences, sound panel, and I was able to configure the USB headset as default device, answering yes to the confirmation request which popped up. Bye! Barbuz

Well a couple of folks took a look at my skype and lap top settings, and final word was that my internal mic is going out, our has gone out, I still can hear myself but sounds distant and the static noise is there. We checked volume,boost and whatever else could be checked We did a full clean on my pc and all is good, so I guess it is my internal mic. I am still bummed thought but oh wll it happens. I am really afraid that's the problem. Facebook made some changes in how
API works, or possibly doesn't let apps sign in to its api anymore. So in short, the best way to see your Facebook contacts is to downgrade to Skype 7.4 at least. Skype 7.4 however, does not let you set your Skype moodtext as a Facebook status message from Skype Home. Bye! barbuz

I recently upgraded to Skype 7.5, and here is my experience.

I use Skype Talking, and although I cannot see my Facebook contacts in Skype, Skype Talking still notifies me of any change in status. It is still possible to use Skype to send messages to Facebook contacts, but a Skype user can only respond to incoming chats. Thus, if you want to start a chat with one of your Facebook contacts, you'll have to access the website and send them a private message first.

We checked volume,boost and whatever else could be checked We did a full clean on my pc and all is good, so I guess it is my internal mic. I am still bummed thought but oh wll it happens.
