I found a private chat in my history and find that [ h works fine with it. JAWS 2019, Skype 8.42.0.60. I'm running a newer Skype revision but with no changes to the code for that command.

I specifically made private chats work a while back but have used that feature so rarely that I probably haven't retested it in recent versions. There is an 8.42 out though. I'll see if I can reproduce your situation when I can.

Problem with latest JAWS update and Skype 8 Electron

Every time I hit command key t then h to go to history, it does the clicking sound but then I’m in a box where I have the message I wrote before. If I tab around I can hit the cancel edit button, but can’t get to the history without manually shift tabbing to it. Also if you backspace completely in the edit field where you type, it says in a very high pitched voice “Open Expression picker r” Windows 7 is what I’m on. Any ideas? Thanks, John

Not sure why you'd get that message, but try https instead of http. I set up https specifically because a few people were having download problems a few months ago, though not any that sound identical to yours.

Problem downloading JAWS scripts

Hi all. This is probably not Skype related, and thus I apologize for the off-topic message, but it has to do with trying to tdownload the latest JAWS scripts for Skype.
I’m running Skype Electron, and every time I try to download the scripts, my AVG Antivirus aborts the connection and displays the following message:
“Threat secured. We’ve safely aborted connection on www.dlee.org because it was affected with URL:blacklist.”
Does anybody know what that means and how I can get past it? If I need to change something in my antivirus, please write me off-list so as not to clutter the list with non-Skype-related messages.
