I actually didn't find otu about the change until about 2016. If you check the archives for this list which were transferred over you will find the conversation. I can't remember the thread now, but

Yes, unless, you put a display name, however to add the person you would need to add a phone number. I don't like that as I don't want my student's emails or phone numbers to seen. That to me is a

So does this mean that you don't have a username at all. That the only thing that shows up in your contacts list is a phone number?

Yes. As of 2016 or 2015 you can no longer use a user name to create an account. You have to use an email or phone number. It sucks big time.

Note: it says that it is connecting, but it is still allowing me to make phone calls and no Skype contacts are showing on either which is understandable my for whatever reasons not being signed in.

There will be no windows 11. I heard that this is it for Microsoft. They are just going to be releasing major upgrades to windows 10 like the fall creator. The winter creator should be coming out

Skypes go under the 32-bit version of Program Files. Skype 7 goes in Skype\Phone and Skype 8 goes in Microsoft\Skype for Desktop. For this reason, I didn't expect problems trying to switch between

At least for testing purposes, I think you can simply rename the folder "Skype" from Program Files folder to something else, like "Skype8", then install the other version and test it. Then
