A few questions:
1. Did you get any error messages during install? I assume here that you ran the installer. Manually unpacking the installer file into settings\enu will not work.

if using Skype UWP, do *not* use revision 986 of the Skype scripts, there is a specific scripts set for Skype UWP. You can get them here:

It was gone. I did check that/ Installing and running skype 8 works although I hate the interface and the arguments I was using to open a different skype no longer work. Oh well. Looks like I will

Make sure the app is really gone from /Applications: Navigate in Finder to it and look for Skype.app. If you're good at the terminal, cd /Applications and then something like ls -d Sk*

Hello to all. I went to try and launch my skype 7.59 on mac os 10.13.2 and got the following error.

No. What you all need to do is write feedback to MS yourselves so they can make Skype on all platforms accessible so Doug Lee can do more with his life and won’t have to write JAWS scripts anymore.

Very rarely I had problems of any kind with Skype, but a few minutes ago I was disconnected from Skype without reasons and I needed to re-authenticate.

The only thing I would like to insist upon is that you should work day and night to make JAWS script Skype 8 and update your JAWS script for windows 10 app.

In the wee hours of this morning, I figured out that a strange confluence of circumstances had indeed occurred. The summary of my position, though, is that Microsoft does intend to phase out Skype 7
