I compiled revision 73 in english jaws 18. on the virtual machine.
Launched on the host in Russian jaws 18.
Everything worked fine and all characters were readable.
Apparently the problem is

Not sure what you're suggesting. JAWS saves the jsb file; I don't have a way to tell JAWS what encoding to use for a jsb file. I took the jsm file directly from Dropbox without any changes, so that

I downloaded skypeelectron.jsb from DropBox.
The scripts work, but instead of the translated text there are unreadable characters.
I guess the problem is in the wrong encoding.

I did it in about 2 minutes and learned the app in about 10 or 20. It is much easier to learn than skype 7, trust me. And I don't really use skype for windows much, but when I do I now love it.

Watch out, one day skype 8 will fail to work with windows 7, actually I woudl upgrade to windows 10 if you can, as windows 7 support stops in 2020. That is another beast to conquer but it works.

Yes, I added shared folder "rus" to my DropBox.
I uploaded to folder "skypeelectron.jsm" from revision 73, which I translated earlier.
