Problem with latest JAWS update and Skype 8 Electron

John Holcomb II

Every time I hit command key t then h to go to history, it does the clicking sound but then I’m in a box where I have the message I wrote before. If I tab around I can hit the cancel  edit button, but can’t get to the history without manually shift tabbing to it.

Also if you backspace completely in the edit field where you type, it says in a very high pitched voice “Open Expression picker r”

Windows 7  is what I’m on.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Hi,

Try disabling your antivirus then try downloading it then after installing
reenabling it.

Still no luck I'm afraid, even with the direct download link. Could it be
my antivirus program sees the installer as a virus?

I just changed the link you are using to use https; forgot it was an
absolute link. Let me know if that helped. If you are concerned that your
local web cache may interfere with getting the updated page, use te direct
link for the file (which, incidentally, I recommend against doing in general
in case it changes):

Not sure why you'd get that message, but try https instead of http. I set up
https specifically because a few people were having download problems a few
months ago, though not any that sound identical to yours.

Hi, Marius. There should be an option in AVG that will allow you to "pause
or disable protection temporarily. This will allow you to download the
scripts. Once the scripts are downloaded, go back to the options and enable
protection again.

Hi everybody,

I’m trying to create a small group on Skype but I can’t figure out how to do it.  If any of you have tried this, please explain how to  go about it.  Your help would be much appreciated.

Hello there, I'm using skype electron with scripts that sir Dug has

approach to provide all those commands in a virtual viewer as FS does
using insert w or jaws key w. It can save a lot of time and we can
easily look for commands that we need. It is time taking to open a
webpage online and filter the desired result. I hope my feature
request will be payed attenssion to. Regards

I'm aware of this command sir. What I want to say is that all
commands that are provided on microsoft website should also be
presented to the user in a virtual curser.<div

Try usign your web keystrokes in jaws, f. for form, b for button etc. I know doug has some scripts, but since I don't use a windows pc much, or jaws, I'm not much help here.

Hey Randy, if using JAWS scripts for Skype by Doug Lee, you have to open the chat saying that there is unread content, then press the Skype command key, which is a left braket by default, followed by h. Once you do that, scroll the messages with harrows.
Bye!
