Re: extension code

Mike DeZinno

Hello Martin,
re putting in next codes:

I often use my Skype calling feature to call into conference calls with access codes some as long as 9 digits followed by a # sign.
Here's how I accomplish that:
I first dial the main number to get into the conference, then I wait until it asks for the extension or access code or pin number,
which then you can simply dial into by using the number keys across the top row of your keyboard,
the # sign is just a simple shift 3 entry,
The only thing to watch for is to be sure your screen reader is focused on the Skype dial pad.
It does take a little practice and it can be a little nerve racking because the prompts sometimes don't give you much time to type in the codes or extensions.
But in time one does learn how to relax and just get ready to anticipate the next required action.

I hope this helps,
Mike, in SC

hi

have they removed the select region or country option in Skype 8? if
not, and you enter on that and select the country you wish to call and
enter , an edit box will open, simply enter the number you are calling
and there's no need to put the plus sign or country code in.

Re: skype out

You call a Skype Out number from a landline, exactly as you would call any other number.

To call a landline number from Skype, using Skype Out, follow these steps:

1. Press Alt f, to open the File menu.
2. Select "New call..." from the menu.
3. Tab to, then select, the Dialpad button.
4. Tab to the Phone Number field, and enter the number you want to call.

Note: you must enter the number in international format. For example +441110000, to dial someone in the UK.

5. Hit Enter to make the call.

Not sure what you're referring to there. My scripts, for all three Skypes, have never had a restriction as to whether you run them on a 32-bit or a 64-bit machine. Scripts in general don't. Many years ago, I had some installer
issues on 64-bit machines, but not anything at all recent.

I also don't know which Skype scripts you mean though. I have scripts for three different Windows Skype versions, but you may not be referring to scripts I wrote at all.

Hey Jerry, this occurs because the link was somehow broken or incomplete and one part was not recognized as a link. I'll try to make it clickable but it's not easy since it's quite long.

Hey Martin, this sounds a bit strange to me...
Are you trying to download scripts for Skype 8 electron? And when are you prompted about this, while downloading or during actual install process?

Some questions and issues with skype.

terri elliott <terrielliott54@...>

I am writing on behalf of a friend who has the latest version of Skype on his window’s 10 computer. Whenever I call him using his Skype phone number there is allot of distortion that I am hearing on my end. If he is using his microphone on his desk where his pc is that is where the distortion is coming from. We have been disconnected from Skype because of all of the distortion that is taking place. If he has his microphone on his coffee table I can’t hear all of the distortion that happens when he is sitting on his desk.

The other thing that I’d like to ask about is this. Yesterday I was listening to some music that he wanted to share with me. It was coming through with no problem. When he wanted me to hear another song later that same day I wasn’t able to hear any audio as previously mentioned. Jaws wasn’t there and neither was the music that he was trying to let me hear. He put his headphones on and I was able to hear Jaws and the music coming through the headphones although it was very low in volume. When he switched it over to his speaker from his headphones Jaws was back and so was the audio music. We are wondering if it his speakers are keeping the audio from coming through or is it something else? Thanks for any help with these Skype issues that I have written you all about.
