I will not accept requests immediately. I will text them first asking to know who that was, and I must know that person prior to adding so. People from this group can feel free to add me. I mostly remember the people names here so I think it won't be a problem adding. If possible, send me a hint telling that you are from skype english. My skype is shooshma

Kind Regards,

If the skype's API is now defunked unless someone is using a cron job I
don't see how they could do this. I'm not doubting, I am how ever trying to

strange event possible spammer

skypeenglish at lists.tffppodcast.com (Christopher-Mark Gilland via Skypeenglish)...

I'm willing to add anyone who sends me an add request, however, my policy is two things.

1. I'll get to know you via text chatitng first before I accept your request. You know, just kind a drill ya a bit, to see if you really are legit.

2. If you send me an add request, but you just use the standard "Hi Twinklesfriend2007." (By the way, that's my Skype name for those who do! wanna add me.) "I'd like to add you on Skype," messages, you'll automatically get denied regardless. The least you can do, is tell me where, if anywhere specifically you know me from. Is it really that hard to edit that message before sending the request?

Finally, I do ask people please not to send me a video call request to answer unless you first chat me via text to see if I am presentable. I love doing video chat, but I might not always be where I can appropriately start my webcam.

And yes, I always do the same in return.

Chris.

That's what I was going to suggest. As for the chat bots, unfortunately, they're still around, but not as much as they once were. I quickly pick up on that worn out scheme of them pretending to want to talk and get to know me, only to quickly direct me to some supposed web cam site that they say only wants your credit card info for age verification. I believe that nothing good would come out of entering their sites. They might be infected with malware, they might trick you into agreeing to a recurring subscription that bills if you don't cancel, or they might be out-right collecting card info so they can drain your account by using it elsewhere.

If the skype's API is now defunked unless someone is using a cron job I don't see how they could do this. I'm not doubting, I am how ever trying to think outside the box.

Take care.

They were probably set to invisible. That being said, there?s been a great rise over the past few years of strange people adding you so they can try to hook you with a phishing scam, they?re often pornographic bots who have a few stock phrases in their vocabulary. They shouldn?t be hard to recognize as such, but you can?t just accept just anybody anymore and assume they?re a friend of a friend, or someone who got your name from this list or that that you?re on..

Important ? new Microsoft Services Agreement & Privacy Statement for Skype
When Microsoft acquired Skype in 2011, we brought together our communication technologies to help you stay closer to friends, family and colleagues. And, if you're like millions of other people who use a number of Microsoft's services (for example, Outlook.com <http://outlook.com/> for email, Bing, Xbox, Office 365, etc.) we're making life a little easier for everyone. How? Well, most of Microsoft's consumer services are being brought together under a single Microsoft Services Agreement and a consolidated Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We'll be moving from Skype's current Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to the new Microsoft Services Agreement and the Microsoft Privacy Statement on August 1, 2015.

Do you need to do anything? These are important documents and we encourage you to read them by navigating to the links at the bottom of this email. By continuing to use Skype after August 1, 2015, you agree to these updated terms. Should you disagree, simply discontinue using Skype or cancel your subscription before then. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for your child's or teenager's use of Skype, including purchases.

Here are the highlights:

Simplicity
Many of our customers use more than one Microsoft service, and have agreed to a number of terms and privacy policies. To make it easier to use multiple services, we've brought together these documents into a single services agreement and a consolidated privacy statement that cover most of our consumer services.

Privacy
Our longstanding commitment to privacy has not changed. We remain dedicated to protecting your data, being clear about how we use it, and putting you in control. For example, we do not use the contents of your email, chat, video calls, documents, photos, or voice messages to target advertising to you. And as you'll see when you read the privacy statement, we offer a range of tools that enable you to make decisions about what data we collect. Additionally, we have launched a new privacy dashboard <http://emails.skype.com/r/c/r?2.1.3OM.2w%2a.1RPyNm.T3aMfU..N.HxoQ.Sui.bW89MQ%5f%5fDFeaFSS0> that makes it easier for you to make choices about how we use your data.

Transparency
We're using straightforward language so our terms of use and privacy statement are easier to understand. In addition, we've put key privacy information all in one place, so you no longer have to jump between several documents to understand the big picture. While this consolidation eliminates redundancies and simplifies the structure of the information, we continue to provide service-specific details to allow you to make informed choices about how you use our services. We've also added some additional privacy information about new features and functionality we'll soon roll out, like those you'll see on Windows 10.

Important ? new Microsoft Services Agreement & Privacy Statement for Skype
When Microsoft acquired Skype in 2011, we brought together our communication technologies to help you stay closer to friends, family and colleagues. And, if you're like millions of other people who use a number of Microsoft's services (for example, Outlook.com for email, Bing, Xbox, Office 365, etc.) we're making life a little easier for everyone.

Additionally, we have launched a new privacy dashboard that makes it easier for you to make choices about how we use your data.

I don't think it affects how anything functions.

Cornelius, the other day I discovered that Skype 7.6 is now out, and
with this version SkypeWatch no longer announces Facebook contacts
