Hi skype users a question about skype search results. when searching by name and a result comes back, what do the letters HL in parenthesis mean something like left paren HL united states, then the name and the letters HL again in parenthesis never saw that when searching on GW connect? also how does one know that this is actually the person being searched for? if more than one result comes back you can?t tell one from another.

Ok, I had a mail with the creator of the program which I mentioned, who

Bizarre problem with a new install of Skype

Hi to all
I've just installed Skype 7.5 on a new machine, I also have it on 2 other machines with the same skype account, same settings. The older two machines have Windows7 and Windows8.1, the new machine is Windows8.1. I've noticed a couple of strange things. Voicemail. On the new machine, in Skype's options it shows that I haven't recorded a new greeting, whereas I've had the old greeting for quite some time. Facebook. Even though I've linked my Skype account to Facebook, I cannot change to see the facebook contacts. But it works fine on the other two machines. Any suggestions as to why this install of Skype is treating the account differently? Thanks. Brian

my attempts to fix it caused too many side effects. I know the following workarounds, either of which is enough at least for me: 1. Use Notepad to compose your first message for a chat window, then paste it into the chat window when done. 2. Send a partial message, press UpArrow (assuming accessibility mode is not enabled, or you'll have to go to more trouble for this) to edit the message, then edit it normally and resend it. With this approach though, the other person may not be notified of the completion of editing.

Hey Nut, are you referring to the typing echo, or while checking by
character in the edit box? If you can btw, try to give me the steps to reproduce the issue so that when I sign in tonight I can find out if I am encountering it too. I am using Skype 7.5 with latest scripts 893, and now with JAWS 16.0.1236. Only little difference is OS version since I am running Windows 7 professional (and not ultimate) x64 sp1.
