is your skype acount a microsoft acount?

hi all

i wonder if anyone can help me

i have a skype account,

and wen i enter my email address, which is a valid email,

its not giving me an option to enter my pass word.

its asking me to create a microsoft acount.

my account that i use is

stewartross@...

if anyone can help i would be most grateful.
